Software Engineers build the next generation of our on-line service infrastructure.  As our company rapidly grows its customer base and continues to increase its array of products and services, this position is critical to ensure that we continue to scale our product capabilities and in meeting our clientele customization requirements.

 

Software Engineers drive the requirements for, and own, large components of new product pipeline throughout the entire life-cycle.  They collaborate with all engineering departments to execute the architecture, testing, implementation and post-release support of next generation software iterations.  They are required to exhibit strong communication skills, as well as define and successfully execute on the engineering and release priorities in a dynamic application development environment.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

 

• Work on a 24x7 Online Video SaaS platform that includes building software for: BigData cloud computing platforms for real-time video control engine; client-side video streaming optimization and automation; mobile and connected devices; and end-user applications and platform data APIs

 

• Own and drive implementation, testing, and debugging of new and existing features

 

• Collaborate efficiently with team members in a fast-paced agile environment

 

• Identify and resolve innovation and implementation issues

 

• Drive the life-cycle for any given engineering project

 

• Identify and provide resolution to publisher requirements

Requirements

 

• Bachelors Degree in CS or related field

 

• Thorough understanding of core Computer Science fundamentals including Algorithms, Data Structures, Distributed Systems & Networking, Operating Systems

 

• Excellent programming skills

 

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced start-up environment

 

• Self-motivated, quick-learner, team-player that possesses great communication skills

 

• Experience with one or several of Java, C++, Flash(AS3), Python, Javascript, and other Web Technologies (Django, HTML5, MySQL) (preferred)

 

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, data-mining or map-reduce systems like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, NoSQL stores like HBase, etc. (preferred)

 

• Experience running application stacks in Amazon EC2 and/or ability (preferred)
