IT Infrastructure Manager
Location: New Orleans, LA
Overview
Our client is seeking an Information Technology professional to fill the position of Infrastructure Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning, vision, and implementation of strategy for the core infrastructure as well as all management aspects of the Infrastructure Team.
The role of the Infrastructure Manager is high paced and challenging. This person manages operations, projects, and relationships while collaborating with the management team and team members. Team collaboration involves problem resolution, technology research, and participation in strategy meetings, driving the department’s short and long term goals providing solutions that meet business needs. This management position is onsite in the New Orleans office. The manager must be able to attend work during regularly scheduled business hours and must be available after-hours.
Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, implementation, management, and operations of all core infrastructure systems

Project Management
-
Evaluate and make recommendations on system architecture and design

Take lead role in product evaluations, planning and implementation of systems, applications and services

Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures to enhance uptime and business continuity

Work closely with all aspects of the IT unit, i.e. Practice Support, Development, Training and the Service Desk.

Manage team schedules and assignments; adjust accordingly.

Responsible for maintaining a professional workspace, wiring closets, data centers, and all information technology equipment in common areas throughout all offices.

Maintain documentation and drawings of all infrastructure related systems and applications.

Review change logs, approve changes to network and systems, communicate changes with team members and management

Direct Service Desk escalation efforts

Manage, mentor, and coach team members to ensure that each person is reaching maximum potential
Requirements
-
Ideal Candidate will possess four year degree from accredited university in Information Systems, Management, or related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience Infrastructure Team Lead/Management.

Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Possess exceptional trouble-shooting skills and knowledge of industry tools used to diagnose complex network, server, storage, virtual infrastructure issues.

Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2, Windows 7, Windows 8

Working knowledge of Exchange 2010, Exchange 2010 online archiving, Office 365

Working knowledge in VMware Virtualization technologies

Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory 2008, 2012, DNS, WINS, DHCP

Working knowledge of Windows Server Distributed File System Namespace and Replication

In depth knowledge of the OSI model

Understanding of high level switching and routing

Enterprise management tools (Microsoft Systems Center)

Experience with VoIP technologies, QoS, CoS

WAN optimization and acceleration devices and technology

Information Security experience

Working knowledge in Dell Equallogic storage devices

Knowledge in Dell server hardware, storage devices, chassis systems and associated management tools

iSCSI, VMware VMDK and storage as it relates to VMWare ESX/ESXi
-
Experience in managing a multi-site MPLS WAN

Replication Technologies

Some travel is required
