Cloud Orchestration Specialist (BMC Atrium Orchestrator)
(Consulting role; up to 50% travel. Candidate can be based anywhere in the country, ideally on the east coast.)

To grow our Cloud Services practice, we are actively looking for an experienced, technically well versed individual to lead and partner with other consultants in developing a program that helps our clients adopt and expand the use of automated processes.
This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing solutions that automate manual processes or extend the functionality of existing systems, based on BMC Atrium Orchestrator.
Further responsibilities are implementing and contributing to our best practices and standards, as well as supporting development of a training program to enable our technical associates to obtain relevant technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setup and lead network automation projects
• Design, implement, test and deploy workflows that automate business processes. This will generally require interfacing with customers’ systems via the APIs those systems provide/support.
• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation; continually develop and improve intellectual property and support materials and contribute back to the practice.
• Interface directly with end-users, management, vendors, and other IT staff on solution creation. Work closely with other analysts in the organization to leverage skill sets and deliverables. Provide end user training as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments and groups throughout the organization to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years IT consulting with a focus on software development
• Intermediate knowledge of XML and related technologies, especially XSLT and XPath
• Experience with software development processes, automated testing, and version control systems
• System integration using various API technologies, particularly Web Services (RESTful, SOAP)
• Cross platform system administration (Unix and Windows)
• Scripting languages (e.g. UNIX shell, Perl, Python).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (negotiable)
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Certifications:
• Cloud and virtualization technologies
• Java Programming
• BMC CLM suite of products (BBNA, BBSA, Remedy, BAO, etc.)
• ITSM suite including SRM
• Orchestration tools such as Atrium Orchestrator (preferred) or Opalis
• Understanding of project lifecycle
• Network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, RDP, SSH, Telnet, SNMP, SMTP, RPC, and SOAP
• Database Administration (e.g. Oracle, SQL)
• Established IT and Data Center Operations methodology experience
